AP 1.0 MVP: Laying the Foundation Our initial launch focuses on establishing the core mechanics of Aqua Patina, ensuring a seamless staking and restaking experience. Key milestones include:

  • Launch Queue: The MVP Launch Queue allows early users to contribute ETH for staking.
  • Audit by Hacken.io: A full audit of the smart contracts to ensure security and reliability.
  • Flush Queue to Pool: ETH from the queue will be flushed into the Aqua Patina Pool.
  • Validator Creation via APD: The Aqua Patina Daemon (APD) initiates the creation of Ethereum validators (How Staking works in Aqua Patina) .
  • SSV Cluster: Establishment of the first Secret Shared Validator (SSV) cluster with 4 devices, creating a decentralized key management system.
  • apETH Minting: Minting of apETH tokens, representing the value of staked ETH.
  • Additional Rewards: Early adopters benefit from extra rewards drawn from AVADO AG staking.
  • MVP Wallet: A user-friendly interface displaying apETH balances, AP Points, and their ratio to ETH.

AP 1.1: Enhancing User Experience Building upon the MVP, version 1.1 introduces key features to improve liquidity, accessibility, and reward structures:

  • Fetching Rewards: Retrieve rewards from the EigenPod, reflecting in users’ apETH balance.
  • Liquidity Pools for apETH: apETH liquidity pools for ETH and stablecoins are created to offer easy access to liquid funds.
  • Liquidity Pool Integration: Users can now exchange apETH in a liquidity pool directly within the wallet.
  • Withdraw Function: Seamless withdrawals back to ETH are integrated into the wallet for better flexibility.
  • Consecutive Queues: Additional staking queues are opened, allowing for continuous participation.
  • Referral Program: A referral system is introduced, incentivizing users to bring more participants to Aqua Patina.
  • Node Operator Rewards: apETH is distributed to node operators for managing validators.

AP 1.2: Expanding Infrastructure This update focuses on optimizing the performance of node operators and expanding Aqua Patina’s decentralized network:

  • Node Operator Score: A scoring system is introduced to assess the performance of node operators, incentivizing reliability and uptime.
  • AVADO Dapp Integration: Aqua Patina’s dapp is rolled out on AVADO devices, allowing any AVADO user to become Node Operator for Aqua Patina.
  • Increase Node Operators: More node operators from the AVADO community join to strengthen the network.
  • First Actively Validated Services (AVS): The first AVS is introduced, allowing users to earn additional rewards by delegating security to more applications.

AP 2.0: Making Crypto Accessible to Everyone The 2.0 release focuses on integrating traditional finance with decentralized finance (DeFi), bringing crypto savings to a broader audience:

  • Fiat to Crypto Bridge: Seamless integration allowing users to easily convert fiat currency into crypto and participate in staking.
  • Fiat Integration: Enable users to connect their bank accounts, making it easier to save and invest in digital assets.
  • Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA): Implement DCA functionality, where users can automatically invest in crypto by regularly transferring funds from their bank accounts.
